SkyShade from CHF 4,000 (3 × 2.5 m). The aluminium pergola starts at CHF 15,000. Big price difference.

No planning permission required

Awnings don’t require a permit in most cantons (unlike pergolas). You can get started right away.

Brief rain: yes. Prolonged rain: no. The fabric is water-repellent, but not waterproof. In prolonged rain or heavy rainstorms: the awning retracts.

In most cantons, no (unlike a pergola). We review your cantonal regulations before you place your order.

The awning can be dismantled and sold. Or you can keep it as secondary shading next to the pergola.

Motorization, wind sensor, UV quality of the fabric, SEV-certified electrics, 2-year warranty with Swiss service. Hardware-store awning: none of that.
