Limited budget?

SkyShade from CHF 4,000 (3 x 2.5 m). The aluminum pergola starts at CHF 15,000. Big price difference.

No planning permission required

Awnings don’t require a permit in most cantons (unlike pergolas). You can get started right away.

Brief rain, yes; prolonged rain, no. The fabric is water-repellent, but not waterproof. In prolonged rain or heavy storms: the awning retracts.

In most cantons, no (unlike a pergola). We check your canton’s regulations before you place the order.

The awning can be removed and sold. Or you can keep it as secondary shading next to the pergola.

Motorization, wind sensor, UV quality of the fabric, SEV-certified electrics, 2-year warranty with Swiss service. Hardware store awning: none of that.
